Whether through an in-kind or monetary donation, there are many ways to support kids and families in our community.
Learn more below about how you can make an in-kind contribution, an online monetary gift, or even via tax-free donation through your IRA!
Donation dollars are tax-deductible and fund everything kids and families need to thrive: our operational expenses, essential programs and services, adequate shelter, food, clothing, hygiene supplies, education, recreation and all the little necessities many people take for granted.
It takes about $300 per kid, per day, to make our ends meet.
Ellipsis relies on help from the public to fulfill the ongoing need for child welfare services in Iowa.
All these needs make every dollar we have essential to not only our success, but the success of the kids and families we serve. Please consider donating to help build successful futures in Iowa!
Make a monetary donation.
Most people who give choose to donate money on a one-time or recurring basis. Donation dollars are tax-deductible and fund everything kids and families need to thrive: our operational expenses, essential programs and services, shelter, food, clothing, hygiene supplies, education, recreation and all the little necessities many people take for granted. Make a tax-free donation directly from your ira.
Your support to the community is now easier than ever.
If you're 72, federal tax law now allows you to make your annual required minimum distribution (RMD) to a community charity. Simply transfer any amount up to $100,000 from your traditional IRA directly to one or more charitable organizations - like Ellipsis - through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) without paying income tax on the distributions. In fact, if you're 70 ½, you're not required to take a distribution but you can still take advantage of a QCD.
Use the ira charitable rollover to make a gift to ellipsis:
- It's simple and easy to use your IRA charitable rollover gift to support your community.
- It's beneficial because the rollover doesn't generate taxable income, so there's nothing additional to burden you for taking the distribution, nor does it create a tax deduction. You benefit even if you don't itemize your tax deductions.
- It's rewarding to give to a qualified charitable organization like Ellipsis because we will put your gift to use immediately, helping Iowa kids and families in need.
